02/07/2006 BUNDOORA v BALLARAT ACADEMY
Well it had to happen at some stage I guess. Ballarat's young girls found the physical size of Bundoora's team members overwhelming and were understandably hesitant to take them on at many times throughout the match. Unfortunately our girls struggled to withstand the physical force that rained down on them and the result was 0:3. The girls first defeat, but we were just happy to see them come out of the game with pride having competed fairly and given their best. Well done girls,,,we were proud of your genuine sportsmanship.

9/07/2006 BALLARAT ACADEMY v MEADOW PARK
This weeks game was very different from the previous week. Meadow Park were strong in skill and Ballarat had to work very hard to keep them at bay. Ballarat certainly woke up a bit more in the second half and were able to hold the majority of possession, but still struggled to find the net. Finally a jumble in the box resulted in Jackie finishing the job and giving Ballarat the only score for the game. The girls were able to leave this game with their confidence restored. 1:0 and a step up on the ladder to 4th place. What a super effort girls considering the beginning you had faced.
